2026 Tauranga Innovative Education Summit (TIES)
The University of Waikato (an EdTechNZ member), in partnership with Mount Maunganui College and Priority One, is bringing the Tauranga Innovative Education Summit back to the Bay on 12 June 2026.
What to expect:
A practical, high-impact morning combining expert keynotes and bite-size workshops led by a mix of local teachers, academics, and sector partners. Sessions are designed for classroom teachers, team leaders, aspiring educators, and senior leaders, with opportunities to network and curate the day around what you need most.
Highlights:
- Keynote speaker: Dr Tim Gander (confirmed)
- Hands-on experiences including TCC’s Community Resilience VR Flooding experience
- PB Tech demonstrations including Robot Dogs and AR tech
- Networking with educators across Tauranga and the wider Bay of Plenty
- Morning tea and lunch included (plus coffee from 101 Cafe Experiment after sign-in)
