We aim to empower learning with technology that embodies our unique Aotearoa New Zealand identity.

Education is the foundation on which all of New Zealand will prosper and grow.

The Education Technology Association of New Zealand (EdTechNZ) is the voice of EdTech in New Zealand, supporting the growth of the sector.

Our mission is to improve the lives of people and increase the access to, quality and impact of education through innovative technology, for the benefit of educators and learners in Aotearoa New Zealand and around the world.

Our members share a passion for the potential that education technology can bring for New Zealand’s prosperity. Members include EdTech companies, educators and training providers. Together, we provide an independent voice for the EdTech ecosystem.

EdTechNZ is a member of the New Zealand Tech Alliance and was launched in 2017. It is governed by an Executive Council.

EdTechNZ – a member of Tech Alliance

The New Zealand Tech Alliance is a group of independent tech associations from across New Zealand that work together to ensure a strong voice for technology. Coordinated by NZTech, the Alliance represents almost 500 organisations that employ over 100,000 New Zealanders who work together to help create a prosperous New Zealand underpinned by technology.

The global EdTech market is estimated to grow 17% per annum to $252 billion by 2020.
