Kia ora
As we move into autumn across Aotearoa, welcome to our April newsletter. It’s been a big month for strengthening how we connect, share insight, and build capability across New Zealand’s EdTech ecosystem.
Last month, it was a pleasure to be invited to UNESCO in Paris for the Global Education Coalition and to represent EdTech New Zealand at the Global EdTech Alliance of Alliances inauguration meeting.
The event brought together over 220 institutional partners from the UN family, civil society, academia, and the private sector, all united by a common goal to advance inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning.
During the event, digital transformation of education around the world was of particular focus and highlight. In line with the goals and ambitions of UNESCO, EdTechNZ members will be able to draw on these challenges and opportunities as they consider exporting and entering new markets around the world.
Special mention to our EdTechNZ Executive Director Dean Watson for successfully getting elected onto the EdTech Alliance of Alliances Board. And to my EdTechNZ Executive Council members for having me represent them at this auspicious global event.
Below, you’ll find more on what’s new across our community this month, including the launch of our Member Hub, brand refresh, upcoming events, and member updates.
Ngā manaakitanga,
Nader Luthera
EdTech New Zealand Executive Council
