Kia ora,
Last month’s Founder’s Day was absolutely brilliant – connecting with such an amazing and diverse group of people passionate about transforming lives through EdTech. Now let’s turn those connections into action!
This month’s newsletter showcases exactly what that action looks like – from member success stories that inspire us all, to new opportunities for expanding into international markets, and continued progress on building trust through the Aotearoa EdTech Data Privacy Pledge. Let’s dive into the exciting developments happening across our EdTech community.
🌏 Upcoming Webinar: MarketSpark NetworkConnect ASEAN | 20 November, 5pm
This is your fast-track to Southeast Asia’s exploding EdTech market.
The numbers tell the story: USD $10.7B market growing to $41.5B by 2033. Seven hundred million people. Median age 31. NZ’s third-largest trading partner. Less saturated nearby markets. High demand for education. The opportunity is undeniable.
But opportunity without a network equals frustration.
That’s why we’re bringing the right people to the table: government networks (MFAT/NZTE, ASEAN NZ Business Council), regional experts, and EdTech founders already operating successfully in Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand.
This isn’t presentations and PowerPoints. It’s 75 minutes of focused Q&A where your questions get answered by people who’ve actually navigated these markets. Plus, every attendee receives a 90-day action plan based on the roundtable to maintain momentum and drive next steps.
Whether you’re researching, planning, or ready to launch – this session connects you to the network effects that unlock ASEAN markets.

💰 Pen Test Discount for EdTechNZ Members
Getting ST4S assessed can cost EdTechs $10,000 to $20,000, and that’s just the cost of arranging an independent penetration test.
EdTechNZ members can access a 10-20% discount (depending on company size) with a well-regarded local pen tester we have a good relationship with. Email dean.watson@edtechnz.org.nz if you’d like an introduction.
Not quite ready for ST4S?
