A Busy Year of Growth and Engagement
The last few months have been full-on in the best way for the Teacher’s Buddy team.
In May, they joined the InterfaceXpo tour, speaking with educators in Christchurch, Taupō, and Auckland. They also partnered with the PPTA to deliver a national webinar series on AI in Education, covering key themes: AI in Context, AI in Practice, and AI in Policy.
Then in June, they headed across the ditch to EduTech in Sydney, where they hosted a stall, participated in the pitch competition, and were interviewed on the EduTech podcast. Back home, they’ve been busy collaborating with textbook publishers and content providers to integrate more curriculum-aligned content directly into the platform — a highly anticipated update for later this year.
Collaboration with Schools and Sector Leaders
Teacher’s Buddy is proudly homegrown and works closely with schools across Aotearoa — from classroom teachers to curriculum leads and senior leadership teams. These relationships are central to how the platform is evolving.
They’re also expanding their work with the PPTA and Ministry of Education, helping produce professional development resources and ensuring alignment with the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum and assessment standards.
On the international front, Teacher’s Buddy is gaining traction in Australia, the United States, and the UK, where they’re co-designing with educators to ensure the platform meets the needs of diverse classroom contexts.
