New Zealand’s EdTech and Education Publishing sectors have long seen the United States as a key market, offering substantial opportunities to expand their reach. In 2025, two major education conferences – the ASCD Annual Conference (focused on general education) and ISTE Live 25 (centered on education technology), will be held together for the first time, providing a unique chance for Kiwi businesses to gain visibility and make valuable connections.
Education New Zealand (ENZ) and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) are in early discussions to collaborate on a tailored U.S. market programme for EdTech and Education Publishing exporters. This programme, built around these anchor events, would facilitate a New Zealand presence and include additional networking opportunities and support.
Programme Highlights and Key Events
The anchor events are the ASCD Annual Conference and ISTE Live 25, both taking place from 29 June to 2 July 2025 in San Antonio, Texas. These conferences draw K-12 education professionals and provide a platform to showcase New Zealand’s innovation in education technology and publishing.

The programme could include:
- Attend as a Delegate: (Cost TBC. 2024 delegate fee was $600 – $800 USD)
- Attend as an Exhibitor: (Cost TBC. 2024 booth prices were $5,250 USD for ISTE and $2,700 – $2,900 USD for ASCD)
