Highlights from EduTech Melbourne

Kia Ora,

In a landmark collaboration, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) and Education New Zealand (ENZ) recently showcased 18 NZ EdTech companies at EduTech Melbourne 2023. Building on the success of last year’s event, the partnership aimed to provide a low-risk entry point for New Zealand EdTechs into the Australian market. The event generated 80 prospective customer and partner leads, highlighting the value of in-market experience. Attendees included a diverse array of tech providers offering solutions in fields like numeracy, literacy, and STEM. Notably, the event also featured key speaker sessions on topics like Vocational Education and cultural responsiveness. The positive feedback underscores the power of collective representation and reaffirms the strong potential for NZ’s EdTech community in Australia.

This month, we hosted the second event on our EdTech export market deep-dives, with a focus on the USA market. The lineup included Amy Bucher (ADInstruments), Ronel Schodt (Kai’s Education), Scott Cardwell (ImmerseMe), Bob Drummond (Kami) and Michael Fuller(NZTE). Their collective expertise provided attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities in expanding to the U.S. You can watch a replay of our event here
