Techweek is fast approaching and this year there are a number of EdTech related events.
EdTechNZ have three events, each showcasing four EdTech start-ups, showing how they are changing the world. EdTech Showcase Monday, EdTech Showcase Wednesday and EdTech Showcase Friday.
Some of the other events include VR in Education – From using VR to creating for VR (VR Voom), Innovative tech in the classroom (University of Canterbury) and some TechTalks from the University of Auckland to name just a few.
There also a number of Education related events around PLD, Tech careers and pathways, digital inclusion and so much more!
The Ministry of Education and NZTech have partnered to host Tech21, to inspire ākonga (learners) into technology careers.
The Tech21 Summit on 24 May at the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau has a number of young entrepreneurs and digital disruptors sharing their stories with more than a thousand 12 to 14 year olds to inspire them into a career in tech. The event will feature digital disruptor Amber Taylor, social entrepreneur Shay Wright, KidsCoin co-founder Brittany Teei, @girlbossnz founder Alexia Hilbertidou and more. Plus, a special performance by Kings, live at Tech21!
This event is invite only but it will also livestream, on Techweek TV.
Finally, a reminder from last month’s newsletter about EdTechNZ mapping out the NZ EdTech ecosystem and creating a white paper, it’s not too late to be included, if you haven’t already, please contact us to make sure you are on our radar.
