EdTechNZ Newsletter – May 2018 Update

EdTechNZ is a community across different sectors. We work and collaborate to maximise opportunities and address challenges from education technology in New Zealand classrooms and around the world.

We started a busy year with another successful launch in Christchurch on 6th March, following the first Connect event in Auckland last November. The event brought together leaders, professionals, and entrepreneurs from different industries to discuss the future and impact of education technology.  We had a great panel discussion, which was well received by the audience. The launch in Wellington is next month and the second Connect event in Auckland are coming up soon.

meet-up group has also been formed to connect and support EdTech businesses in NZ. It’s a safe and inclusive place to share ideas, present challenges and seek support. It is open to anyone who has some stake in EdTech in NZ, from early childhood, K12, Tertiary, Trade training, Industry and including adult learning and continuous education. Monthly meet-ups are initially in Auckland with plans to expand to Wellington and Christchurch as soon as we have enough interest. Get in touch if you are interested in participating.

Another big event of the year, New Zealand Education & Technology Summit, is on 3-4 July 2018. The main focus for this year is “Creating Pathways for 21st Century Learning”. We look forward to seeing many of you there.

Enjoy your week.
