Acting local and growing global | EdTechNZ June 2024 News

We hope our members and wider education technology community took time out to participate and connect during Techweek24. You can check out the highlights from the week here.

It was fantastic to see our edtech and education company community recognised as part of the wider technology community during the NZ Hi-Tech Awards. Digital Future Aotearoa and Mission Ready as finalists in the Best Contribution to the NZ Tech Sector category, Crimson Education and Kami as finalists in the Hi-Tech Company of the Year category, and Kara Technology finalist in the Best Hi-Tech Solution for the Public Good category. Congratulations to all the finalists, and thank you for all that you do to transform learners’ lives.

With a focus on export conversations, in the last quarter, EdTechNZ hosted two member webinars: a Vietnam market fireside conversation in May, and a Middle East Market Edtech Deep Dive last week. Key takeaways from the events include that nothing beats being in the market, relationship building takes time, and the education and technology reforms in both regions offer great opportunities for those committed to maintaining a consistent connection with the market over time.

You can check out the recording of both events on our website here.

Finally, a big nau mai,  haere mai to new EdTechNZ members Teacher’s Buddy and EDConnect. We look forward to supporting you and the contribution you will make to our ecosystem.
